"Keep-Your-Chats-Exatly-That!" is an online safety campaign that will help empower South African girls and boys with helpful tactics when using instant messaging applications both on mobile phones and the Internet. The campaign was a response to focus group interviews conducted by Women'sNet on the the use of mobile phones by South African youth that revealed that majority of girls felt uncomfortable when using mobile instant applications because online sexual encounters. Boys however, felt confident when using these applications.

We therefore want girls to actively and safely participate in online and mobile social networks so that they have increased access to information, points of support and are part of the 'information society. We want parents to understand the warning signs of abuse, and act to make their children safer when using online and mobile social networks. We would like school teachers to be aware of the potential dangers of using digital media, and the potential solutions for safe communications.

To ensure public education, the girls' schools  campaign initialised by girlsnet in order ot The project is supported by the Joint Gender Fund.
