Girls'Net

Girls’Net is a South African social and multimedia programme that gets girls actively involved in the use of technology for their own development to be agents of social change. The project was established in 2004 and it seeks to empower disadvantaged South African young women and girls between the ages of 10-23 through skills development, networking and partnership building to advance gender equality. The project puts information in the hands of young women and girls, and establish them as both active participants in the production and dissemination of information, and empowered participants in public processes.
